And we celebrate our 1st birthday as a podcast
As the dust starts to settle around the Switch 2 full unveil. We had a chance to talk more extensively about the system. At the time of the recording there were still a few unknowns, but for the most part, it is all there. Since recording there’s been a whole heap of backlash from the gaming community over pricing - especially with Nintendo setting a new bar for individual priced games.
To make matters worse, US pre-orders have been delayed due to geopolitical reasons as Trump’s tariffs attempt to force a rate cut by the US federal reserve. It seems the winners are Japan, who’ll get a Japanese language model of the system, significantly cheaper than other regions across the world - yet, for a multilingual system, the upgrade fee was over $100 dollars more. Can anyone explain to us in an age of AI how on earth Nintendo costed that one?!
